Education can certainly be a weapon and was never conceived as such in the infancy of humanity. As the etymology details, the impetus of the concept is "to bring out". An educator assists the pupil in the unveiling of her own inner knowing and cosmological affinity. A teacher is a different matter all together and I dare say an implement of manipulation and coercion.
